NBA Free Agency Disclaimer: Buyer Beware!

This summer has been the most heavily anticipated summer in NBA history. the cream off the crop of NBA superstars are peddling themselves before the end of the CBA (collective Bargaining Agreement) next season.  

As of this writing the players union has given the NBA a proposal for a new CBA.

Teams have been clearing cap space for the last three years hence making this the Summer of Lebron. 

Players like Dywane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire and Rudy Gay were all supposed to wait their turn at the money table.  It didn't happen that way.  Rudy Gay took one for the home town and got $80 million over five years.  

Rudy is a nice player but when Memphis needed him to step up his game in order to make the playoffs he failed.  He continued to score but he wasn't been able to figure out how to score to help his team move to the next level.

Joe Johnson falls in the same category as Rudy.  The difference is that the Atlanta Hawks made the playoffs but his lack of leadership has left them labeled as underachievers.  Yet the Hawks front office threw a $119 million contract a ...
