NBA: Dwyane Wade Fights Off New Critics of the Miami Heat

As the Miami Heat stole the heart of Cleveland by bringing LeBron James to Miami, the new stars of the Miami Heat have been committed to regaining the love of NBA fans around the world.

 

9/11 Comments

Wade may have done more damage than good when he decided to use a 9/11 analogy as he tried to make his point when he was  initially misquoted by AOL Fanhouse as saying losing games would be "like the World Trade [Center] is coming down again."

What Wade actually said in the Heat locker rooms was that the media would make it seem like it was the World Trade Center coming down instead of just a couple of basketball games.

According to Wade, who issued an apology with the Heat, meant to say was that people shouldn't take a couple of lost games to be as serious as a national catastrophe.

Either way, his comments could only have hurt the Heat's cause more than aided in any way.

 

Motivation

Wade, in the same controversial interview after a local charity game, stated that the new Heat roster will use the negativity from others in the league as motivation.
