Minnesota Milestone: The New Goal for the Remainder of the Timberwolves’ Season

After last night's win over Sacramento, the Timberwolves are 5-22. They are on pace to win 15 games. Not a fantastic goal record (15-67).

A few of statistics from their season so far:

The Wolves started out 1-15. They are 4-7 since. The Wolves were 2-16 without Kevin Love. They are 3-5 with him. Combining those two "after" statistics, the Wolves are scheduled to win 24 more games, ending them at 29-53. This seems like a logical way for the Wolves to finish. They are playing better at both ends of the court and defeating impressive teams on the road, like Denver and Utah.

The Wolves should have a new goal in mind at this rate: win 30 games.

A logical, realistic, and impressive goal for a team that can be considered both struggling and improving.

This is also a goal that will satisfy Timberwolves fans from the previous season. The Wolves were 24-58 last year, 22-60 the year before. The fans in Minnesota have seemed to have lost hope, but a 30-52 year will be a large improvement from years past.

The Timberwolves need improvement, 'cause the championship ain't exactly within reach.
