The Houston Rockets throttled the Miami Heat, 115-79, Saturday night after outscoring the opposition, 71-33, over the second and third quarters. 

Miami (14-20) has now lost four straight while the Rockets improved to 23-10 with the win. 

Dwight Howard and James Harden led the way in Houston's most lopsided win of the season, scoring 23 and 28 points, respectively. Nineteen of Howard's points came in the second quarter and he finished with a game-high 13 rebounds. 

All told, six Houston players finished in double figures, including Donatas Motiejunas (12 points), Patrick Beverley (11) and Corey Brewer (11). Josh Smith came off the bench and did the bulk of his damage in garbage time, totaling 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists while shooting 6-of-9 from the field. 

Trevor Ariza tallied just two points but tied a career-high with six steals in the win. As a team, Houston shot 50 percent from the field and 42 percent from three. 

Miami's offense was completely anemic following a first quarter that saw the Heat outscore Houston, 27-23.
