Miami Heat To Open at Boston, Not Cleveland

The Miami Heat will open the 2010-11 season on October 26 against the reigning Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The game will be televised on TNT, followed by the Lakers in a double-header.

More of the schedule will be released tonight on a 7:00 P.M. special on NBA TV. The Heat will likely play 34 nationally televised games, the season maximum. The full schedule will be released on August 10.

There was some talk last night that Miami would open at Cleveland, setting up a potentially brutal event both on and off the court. Luckily the NBA came to their senses and delayed "The Massacre" for another day.
