Mavs Fan Demands New Players Take Strange Press Conference Oath

Dallas Mavericks press conferences are unpredictable.

One minute, you're fielding questions about your future in Big D. The next you're being asked by a media impostor to make a pledge Mark Cuban wishes he had created himself.

Take Dallas' most recent introductory presser, where Monta Ellis, Devin Harris, Jose Calderon, Samuel Dalembert, DeJuan Blair, Brandan Wright and Wayne Ellington became pawns in one fan's clever game.

Somehow, a fan crept his way into the festivities and asked the new Mavericks to take the "MFFL" (Mavs Fan for Life) oath (h/t Yahoo! Sports). 

"On behalf of all Mavs fans, I'd like you to take the MFFL oath, please," our mystery caper explained. "Raise your right hand. I solemnly swear to hate the Los Angeles Lakers, to despise the San Antonio Spurs and to generally [expletive] on every other team in the Western Conference."

Amen.

Now that's what I call an effective "Welcome to Dallas." It's also what I would consider one determined fan.

Gaining access to the event is one thing; ensuring that you're able to speak, and speak so boldly, is another.
