Markieff Morris Injury: Updates on Suns Forward’s Shoulder and Return

Forward Markieff Morris is one of the Phoenix Suns' most important players despite some offseason turmoil, and there is currently some uncertainty regarding his status after he suffered a shoulder injury.

Morris Out vs. Pacers Tuesday, Jan. 19 The team announced Morris wouldn't return to Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers because of his shoulder injury.

Morris Reliable Post Option for Suns  The 26-year-old has slowly developed into a rock-solid player since the Suns drafted him in 2011, but it seemed as though a trade was imminent leading up to the season after Morris expressed dismay with the organization for its decision to trade his twin brother, Marcus Morris, to the Detroit Pistons.

Despite Morris' anger, he ultimately changed his mind and decided that he wanted to remain in Phoenix, per Bob Baum of the Associated Press (h/t NBA.com).
