Free-agent forward Luc Mbah a Moute signed a two-year contract to remain with the Los Angeles Clippers, the team announced on Friday. 

On July 4, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported an agreement was in place, indicating Mbah a Moute's deal is worth $4.5 million. Wojnarowski added the deal includes a player option and is a result of the Clippers exercising their biannual exception.

Mbah a Moute appeared in 75 games last season, averaging 3.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 17.0 minutes per contest. The 29-year-old has been a steady starter throughout his NBA career, but he has bounced around to four different teams in the past three seasons after playing for the Milwaukee Bucks for five years.

The Clippers also retained reigning Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford, per the USA Today's Sam Amick, and Austin Rivers, per Wojnarowski, this offseason.

Those guards provide offense off the bench, but L.A. needed a versatile defender like Mbah a Moute—and it was able to re-sign him at a relative bargain.
