Chris Paul scored 25 points, Jeff Green added 21 off the bench and the Los Angeles Clippers routed the Los Angeles Lakers, 103-81, at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.

The Clippers game out firing from the get-go, jumping out to a 20-2 lead. They scored 17 fast-break points over the first five-and-a-half minutes of the contest, running straight to the rim off of misses and finishing at the basket.

The Clippers did get a bit careless afterward, allowing the Lakers to creep to within 52-44 by halftime.

However, the Clippers proceeded to outscore the Lakers, 32-16, in the third quarter, leaving little doubt about what the end result would be.

Paul shot 10-of-14 from the floor and scored 13 of his points in the first quarter. He also tallied eight assists.

Blake Griffin was just 1-of-5 in 16 minutes during his second game back from his quad and hand injuries.

The Clippers shot 51.3 percent as a team.

Metta World Peace led the Lakers with a season-high 17 points off the pine.

Kobe Bryant scored six points and shot just 2-of-12 in 22 minutes, although he was regularly serenaded with "Kobe!" ...
