LeBron James: What Dan Gilbert Would’ve Said If King Stayed in Cleveland

By now the whole world has read Dan Gilbert's letter to the Cleveland Cavaliers fans after LeBron James announced he would not be returning to Cleveland on national television. This whole fiasco has gotten so far out of hand that even Rev. Jesse Jackson has decided to put in his two cents by claiming that Gilbert is acting like this is slavery. While Dan Gilbert may have not thought out his response to LeBron leaving, and acted like a 13-year-old kid who just got dumped for the first time, things really didn't need to go this far. But as they say, a hot story is a hot story, so members of the media will continue to run with it until the story is good and dead. Dan Gilbert's blasting of LeBron sure did make front page news. He called LeBron a coward, dishonest, disloyal, and anything else you can think of in the book. He called out LeBron's "quitting" performances in the playoffs, and told the world to take a look. But most of all, he lit a fire underneath an organization that should be hiding in the corner after being ditched by one of the most hyped players in NBA history.
