LeBron James Returns to Social Media After Finals Loss, Thanks Fans for Season

After coming up short in the quest to lead his team to a championship in his first season back home, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James will be motivated throughout the offseason to get better (if that's possible).

The motivation? His kids and fans.

For the first time since the 2015 NBA playoffs began, James posted on social media on Tuesday. The post featured his kids riding Rougarou, a roller coaster at the Ohio amusement park Cedar Point. It was the perfect opportunity for the 30-year-old NBA star to post a strong message and thank his fans.

While the picture is special to James, the words he wrote are just as important.

It hurt to lose. I’ve been in a funk lately, but this… this is what motivates me to do what I do. How can I ever be down when I know my kids and my fans have my back?

Being back home and back with my fans is everything that I dreamed of. Thank you for an incredible season. I’m not satisfied… I’m not happy with the way things turned out… I PROMISE to get better. #StriveForGreatness #ILoveTheseKids #GodBlessOurFans
