LeBron James Passes Paul Pierce for 15th on All-Time Scoring List

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James passed Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul Pierce for the 15th spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list during Wednesday's 120-111 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, per NBA.com/stats.

Pierce started the night with seven more points than James in their respective careers, but LBJ proceeded to put up 29 on the Lakers, whereas Pierce managed just six points over 22 minutes in a 139-134 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics.

James made 12 of his 22 field-goal attempts and three of his six three-point attempts, also adding 11 assists, seven rebounds and a steal, with only a single turnover.

He now has 26,188 career points, putting him 16 ahead of Pierce (26,172) and just 119 behind San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan (26,307), who currently sits in 14th place on the all-time scoring list.

Oddly enough, the No. 14-17 spots are all occupied by active players, with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett bringing up the rear at 17th (26,071 points).
