LeBron James Decision Watch: Should James Announce His Decision Via Twitter?

One of the most anticipated sports announcements of all time will be given Thursday night at 9pm EST. This announcement is, of course, LeBron James’ decision on where he will be playing basketball next season in the NBA.

For such an important announcement, should James inform the world of his choice via a short statement on Twitter?

The answer to this question is simple: NO!

Publicizing his decision on Twitter would be one of the worst things James could ever do for several reasons.

 

Twitter Becomes Over-Loaded Too Quickly

The first reason this would be a terrible way to deliver such breaking news is the fact that putting the information on Twitter limits the number of people who can access the information.

Twitter is notorious for becoming overloaded with too many people on the site at one time, and this would send the sight into chaos with the amount of people trying to find out James’ decision.

Very few people would actually be able to read the information before the site began to lock people out because of the volume of traffic it would likely receive.
