Lance Stephenson Injury: Updates on Grizzlies Star’s Wrist and Return

The injury-riddled Memphis Grizzlies will be without wingman Lance Stephenson for at least one game because of a wrist injury.

Stephenson Dealing With Wrist Sprain Monday, March 14 Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal noted Stephenson would not play Monday against the Houston Rockets because of a right wrist sprain. 

This is a concerning setback for the Grizzlies’ depth if Stephenson is forced to miss extensive time because they were hoping he was in store for a bounce-back effort after they traded for him in February. What's more, he is just the latest in a series of physical setbacks (Tillery also said Vince Carter will not play Monday because of a calf strain). 

Stephenson averaged 8.2 points a game behind an atrocious 17.1 percent shooting clip from three-point range last year for the Charlotte Hornets. He also only averaged 4.7 points a night in 43 games for the Los Angeles Clippers this season before being shipped to Memphis.

Those totals were a far cry from the all-around force he was on the Indiana Pacers in 2013-14 when he averaged 13.8 poin ...
