The Toronto Raptors announced center Jonas Valanciunas exited Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls with a left-hand injury.

Valanciunas' Hand Injury Diagnosed  Monday, March 14 The Raptors announced x-rays were negative, and the official status is a left hand contusion, per Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports. 

The Toronto big man already missed 17 games this season with a broken left hand and did not opt for surgery, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania. Fortunately, the team confirmed initial tests showed he did not suffer another break to it in Monday's contest, though more tests are pending.

In his fourth year in the NBA, Valanciunas has begun to finally turn the corner on being a really good NBA center. 

He's enjoying a career year so far with the Raptors, averaging 12.9 points and a career-best 9.1 rebounds in 26.2 minutes per game. Toronto has established a firm lead in the Atlantic Division over the Boston Celtics, and it's due in large part to Valanciunas' 17 double-doubles.
