LA Lakers to Reportedly Wear Sleeved Jerseys for Several Games Next Season

The Los Angeles Lakers will be among the growing number of NBA teams sporting sleeves in the 2013-14 season.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Purple and Gold will be rocking some white T-shirt-style threads for a handful of contests next year.



The Golden State Warriors were the first team to try out the new look last season, sporting bright yellow duds with pinstriped shorts. Despite mixed reviews from players, it seems the encroachment of sleeves will continue.

In June, ESPN's Darren Rovell reported that five teams would wear the new jerseys for at least a dozen games next season. Now we know the Lakers will be one of those teams.

Per Steve Kyler of Hoopsworld, there will also be a lot more teams that at least dabble in fashion-forward thinking.
