Kyrie Irving was sidelined just nine minutes into Sunday's tilt against the Oklahoma City Thunder with flu-like symptoms, and he blames bed bugs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers point guard showed off what was an apparent bite mark on his face to media after the team's 96-88 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday night. He explained that the bugs caused the symptoms and were the reason he didn't sleep well, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin:

But before you laugh, consider this wild thought: He wasn't kidding.

The Skirvin Hilton confirmed the presence of bed bugs to the Oklahoman's Erik Horne:

The hotel told Horne the bed bugs were isolated to one room, which has received multiple treatments since they were reported on Sunday morning.
