Louis Domingue Comments on Referees After Coyotes vs. Capitals

Arizona Coyotes second-year goaltender Louis Domingue called out the referees after his team lost to Braden Holtby and the Washington Capitals, 3-2, on Monday.

According to Sarah McLellan of AZCentralSports.com (h/t Justin Cuthbert of The Score), Domingue took issue with one particular call in the third period. After it appeared as though Domingue had covered up the puck after stopping a shot, Mike Richards slapped it in for the game-deciding goal, and Domingue thought the veteran Holtby would have received the call in a similar situation, per McLellan:

I'm expecting that they treat every guy the same way, and I felt like because I don't have many games in this league I'm being treated differently. I think that if Holtby would have covered the puck this way, they would have blew the whistle right away.

All game it was the same thing. I didn't have the whistle.

It's just unacceptable that they don't treat us the same way.
