Kevin Love Injury: Updates on Timberwolves Star’s Eye

Injury woes continue to plague the Minnesota Timeberwolves, and star power forward Kevin Love has sustained an eye injury that will cause him to miss time. 

The Timberwolves reported the following via Twitter:

#Twolves @kevinlove did not practice today because of an eye injury sustained vs OKC. Will not make the trip to New York.

Love scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Minnesota to an upset victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday. But former UCLA teammate Russell Westbrook poked him in the eye while he was pulling down one of his boards late in the game.

After playing the Miami Heat and the Thunder in successive games, the Timberwolves’ schedule does not get any easier, as they will take on the New York Knicks without their best player. 

Love missed the start of this season with a broken hand, but he has played well since returning to the court in late November. He is averaging 19.6 points and 13.9 rebounds.
