Kevin Durant Says Karl-Anthony Towns Will Be a Hall of Famer

Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns has made an excellent first impression on many during his debut year, including Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant, who sees legendary status in his future.  

"He's going to be a Hall of Famer in this league," Durant said, per Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press.

While Towns certainly has a long way to go, the 20-year-old No. 1 overall pick is well on his way with averages of 15.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game as perhaps the front-runner for the Rookie of the Year Award.

Much like Towns, Durant entered the league with huge expectations in 2007. Although he has yet to win a championship, he has certainly lived up to them with six All-Star nods, four scoring titles and one MVP to his credit.

When Durant was selected No. 2 overall by the then-Seattle SuperSonics, the franchise was near the bottom of the NBA. Before long, though, Durant teamed with Russell Westbrook to make the Thunder one of the premier organizations in basketball.
