Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Injury: Updates on Pistons SG’s Groin and Return

Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics in the second quarter with a groin injury and did not return after slipping on what appeared to be a wet spot on the floor. It is uncertain when he will be able to return to action.

Caldwell-Pope Undergoing Testing Thursday, Feb. 4 Rod Beard of the Detroit News reported Caldwell-Pope will have an MRI done to determine the severity of his injury.

Latest on Caldwell-Pope's Playing Status Wednesday, Feb. 3 Dave Hogg of the Associated Press reported Caldwell-Pope will "almost certainly" miss his team's game Thursday against the New York Knicks.

Caldwell-Pope Has Developed into Reliable Scoring Threat In his third NBA season, the former Georgia product has been solid as a scorer so far in 2015-16. He was averaging 14.9 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting heading into Wednesday compared to 12.7 PPG and a 40.1 percent rate from last season.
