Kemba Walker Injury: Updates on Hornets Guard’s Knee and Return

Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker is dealing with knee pain that has forced him out of the lineup on Wednesday. It is unclear when he will return to the court.

Walker Out vs. Cavaliers  Wednesday, Feb. 3 Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reported Walker will not play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.

How Walker's Injury Impacts Hornets Walker has developed into a consistent scoring threat on any given night as a complement to his distributing ability. In each of the past three seasons, he's averaged at least 17.3 points per game and five assists. 

This season his scoring is reaching new levels—especially after dropping a career-high 52 points against the Utah Jazz, as Bleacher Report shows:



Usually, a point guard is the kind of floor general who will facilitate the offense through passing. Walker is the kind of player who can dissect a defense with his aggressive offensive game, cutting to the basket and finding the open man as the opposition collapses on him.
