Jeremy Lin: 4 NBA Guards New York Knicks Star Is Already Better Than

I am not one of those people who have completely overreacted to Jeremy Lin's emergence in New York, but there a few prominent names he's already surpassed on the point guard food chain

That said, Lin is a quality player, but he benefits greatly from Mike D'Antoni's "seven seconds or less" system. He isn't so much of a system player that he wouldn't be effective in any other system, but without this perfect match, there would be no Linsanity.

Because of this, you will not see the likes of Derrick Rose, Chris Paul or Deron Williams on this list, as these players have games that translate to any system and any team.

Lin has some holes in his game that experience may not fix. He does not have great foot-speed, and while his dribble moves can hide that on offense, he gets exposed by quick guards on the defensive end.

This will never change, but to add some comfort to Lin's fans, the same was the case for Steve Nash, and he's headed to the Hall of Fame. After a while, Nash just quit trying on the other end altogether.

I don't propose Lin should adopt that philosophy, but he can and will have a solid career without be ...
