Nelson to Miss Fifth Straight Game Monday, Feb. 8 Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post confirmed the news regarding Nelson, who is averaging 7.9 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. Nelson has not played since Jan. 30 and has missed 10 of the team's past 12 games with the injury.

An MRI in mid-January confirmed Nelson sprained his wrist, and he commented on the injury at the time, per Dempsey: “It was one of those freakish accidents, things that happen,” Nelson said. “It’s just part of the game. It’s gotten better, swelling is going down a little bit. Just got to continue to get treatment on it.”

Nelson has started 15 of 38 games played this season, with all of his starts coming after Dec. 11. Rookie Emmanuel Mudiay continues to start at point guard, averaging 11.8 points and a team-high 5.8 assists per game.
