Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Bulls Star’s Status and Return

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will be out for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets, per ESPN.com's Nick Friedell.

Rose Out with "General Body Soreness" Monday, Feb. 8 The league's most fragile player continues to live up to that billing. Rose has played 51 games or fewer in four of his first seven seasons in the NBA. After missing the entire 2012-13 season because of a knee injury, he played in just 10 games the following year. Last season, he played in 51, his most since the 2010-11 season. 

This season, he's stayed relatively healthy, most recently dealing with hamstring and back issues that nagged him in January. 

Most players with this kind of history usually fall out of favor with organizations. But Rose, who on his day is still an explosive player, has been able to come back time and time again and produce.
