J.R. Smith Chooses Young Cavs Fan over Young Warriors Fan for Sneaker Gift

J.R. Smith thought about it.

He wanted to pull the trigger (as always), but he couldn't bring himself to bestow his game-worn shoes on a young Golden State Warriors fan at the Cleveland Cavaliers' Wine and Gold scrimmage Monday night.

Twitter user Troy Smith posted video of Smith's moment of conflict. He wanted to help the fan out—but, like, what are you doing here, kid? Help Smith help you.

I'm convinced that had it been any team other than Golden State, Smith would've let it rip:

"Here's the shoes, little man. Ask your moms if she likes Cajun food."

But the kid was wearing Warriors gear, and the memories of Game 6 and the world's loneliest to-go beer are still too fresh in Smith's mind.

So Smith hesitated, remembered where he was and figured there might be a child not wearing Warriors gear at Quicken Loans Arena he could give the shoes to. He figured right:
