Donald Trump is in the middle of a 2016 presidential run, but former Houston Rockets superstar Hakeem Olajuwon is certainly not in his corner.
According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, the Hall of Famer spoke out against Trump’s stance on Muslims entering the United States.
Feigen noted Olajuwon is a “devout Muslim” and pointed out Trump “issued a written statement in the days following a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, in which he announced ‘Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.’”
The presidential candidate “has since maintained that position in speeches and interviews.”
Olajuwon offered his analysis on Trump's stance, per Feigen:
