Rockets Reportedly Showing Interest in Vogel Monday, May 9 The Houston Rockets have reportedly spoken to Frank Vogel's representation about the team's head coaching vacancy, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. 

Vogel, 42, went 250-181 in six seasons with the Pacers, leading the team to the postseason five times. He's also spent time as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics (2001-04), Philadelphia 76ers (2004-05) and the Pacers (2007-11).

Vogel led the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals twice but could never quite get the team over the hump.

"It's time for a new voice around here," Pacers president Larry Bird said after announcing Vogel's contract wouldn't be renewed, per Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star.
