Ersan Ilyasova Injury: Updates on Pistons Forward’s Thigh and Return

The Detroit Pistons have listed forward Ersan Ilyasova out of Saturday's game against the Toronto Raptors as he recovers from a left thigh injury, according to David Mayo of MLive Media Group. It is unclear when he will be able to return to the court.

Pistons Offense Will Miss Ilyasova's Presence  Ilyasova is the type of stretch 4 Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy covets and needs for his offense to succeed as Detroit builds its roster around center Andre Drummond.

The good news is that the Pistons have other players to turn to while Ilyasova recovers. Marcus Morris can slide between small and power forward, veteran Anthony Tolliver can fill in and versatile wing Stanley Johnson may have more opportunities to make an impact amid his rookie year.

This is nevertheless concerning for Ilyasova, who has battled various injuries throughout his NBA career and struggled to fulfill his potential as a result.
