The Los Angeles Lakers started out this season as roughly as they could have. The defense has not been there as a unit or individually. Thirty-six-year-old Kobe Bryant has shouldered the load offensively and played extended minutes. While the new addition of Jeremy Lin has seen dividends, the addition of Carlos Boozer hasn't added any significant presence on the court.
