Dwight Howard and the NBA’s Production Per Minute All-Star Team So Far

In this story I list the only players in the NBA who have a 1.1 production per minute rate according to my formula. Dwight Howard, so far, is the league's most productive player.

I created this formula by adding a player's rebounds plus their assists (times 2 because one assist equals approx. 2 pts) plus their steals (times 2 because I award players for defense) plus their blocks (times 2) then I subtract turnovers and personal fouls and then add the players total points = whatever number I have then is divided my minutes played.

The number you get from thsi formula shows which players accumulated positive production points at a rate of over 1.1 per minute. These are the only 13 guys in the league (who play over 15 minutes a game) who do it as of Nov. 5.

Yeah, it's early on, but it is still statistical fact. Not only that, it does not care about fg% or intangibles. It is just stark reality.

Also, just so you know, I am not a D. Howard fan whatsoever. This is just stats!
