Denver’s Carmelo Anthony to Be Shipped to the New Jersey Nets?

This offseason kicked off with the LeBron hype.

The big debate was surrounding whether or not James would leave his hometown team.

After we all witnessed his "decision", saw Joe Johnson sign this offseason's fattest contract (in which he was surprisingly hesitant to do so), and watched as Chris Paul's trade demands were shut down by the New Orleans front-office, the new star in the spotlight is none other than Denver's Carmelo Anthony.

Days ago, it became evident that Anthony was not interested in signing his team's 3-year, $65 million contract extension.

Rumors regarding where Melo would land began to swarm faster than bees, but as we have all learned from this offseason, another day, another rumor.

Today, August 28th, the freshly zip locked rumor is that the New Jersey Nets are legit contenders to acquire forward Carmelo Anthony.
