Bulls 96, Cavaliers 83—Final

Pau Gasol notched 25 points to lead the Chicago Bulls over the Cleveland Cavaliers during Tyronn Lue's head coaching debut.

The Cavaliers (30-12) rode an emotional surge to a quick 14-8 lead, but they missed 16 straight shots to end the first quarter. Chicago (25-18) grabbed the lead and never relinquished it.

Gasol added a team-best 10 rebounds and six assists, while Jimmy Butler netted 20 points. Nikola Mirotic chipped in 17 points off the bench.

LeBron James nearly tallied a triple-double—26 points, 13 boards, nine assists—but Cleveland shot a putrid 16.7 percent from three-point range and 40.9 percent at the free-throw line.
