Chicago Bulls Sign Kurt Thomas To 2-Year Deal

The Bulls have been on a spending spree.

Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, C.J. Watson…

And now, their most recent purchase: veteran big-man Kurt Thomas.

Who called it?

Thomas agreed to a two-year deal, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The 37-year-old 6’9 forward will be the 11th   player under contract on the Bulls’ roster before they head into training camp.

Thomas will be filling the role left by Brad Miller, who signed with the Houston Rockets.

Miller was more than just the Bulls' big-man.

He was the jokester in the locker room, the guy who put some humor in the environment on and off the court. He could play the low post and even knock down the occasional three (you don’t see that from many seven-footers).

Ultimately, Miller was Joakim Noah’s mentor and close buddy.
