Chase Budinger to Sign with Suns: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Chase Budinger's unemployment will not last long, as the veteran forward is expected to sign with the Phoenix Suns. 

Per Adrian Wojnarowkski of The Vertical on Yahoo Sports, Budinger intends to sign with the Suns after he clears waivers on Monday. The report also notes the Suns waived Sonny Weems to make room for Budinger. 

Paul Coro of AZCentral.com confirmed the report.

The 27-year-old Budinger started this season with the Indiana Pacers, appearing in 49 games, but The Vertical's Shams Charania reported the team waived him to make room for Ty Lawson. 

Budinger told Adi Joseph of Sporting News following Friday's game against Charlotte, in which he played 12 minutes, he wasn't certain what the future held for him: “I have no idea. I’m just going to go with the flow and have faith. That’s about it.”

The Pacers used Budinger sparingly this season, serving primarily at Monta Ellis' backup and getting some time spelling Paul George. He's averaging career lows in minutes (14.9), points (4.4) and three-point shooting percentage (29.0).
