With Channing Frye seemingly on his way to the fringes of the rotation in Orlando, teams have begun inquiring about the availability of the Magic forward.

Frye Could Be Available Amid Magic Struggles Monday, Feb. 1 “He’s one of the names I think you hear a lot and you will hear a lot more about before the deadline,” an NBA executive told Sporting News' Sean Deveney. “His contract is not that bad and he could help a contender, and it looks like they’re moving on from him. There’s a lot of interest there.”

Frye, 32, is averaging a dismal 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game—numbers that rank among the worst in his career.   

He's also seen a marked decrease in playing time, dropping from 24.9 minutes per game in 2014-15 down to 17.5 this season. The veteran forward did not leave the bench in Sunday's 119-114 win over the Boston Celtics, with Aaron Gordon taking the power forward reins for 39 minutes.
