The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the few teams to make a splash in advance of Thursday's NBA trade deadline, but the acquisition of sharpshooting forward Channing Frye paled in comparison to a rumored move involving starting power forward Kevin Love.
On Friday, Cavaliers general manager David Griffin appeared on the Chris Mannix Show and addressed those rumors, among other things with his team in the Eastern Conference's driver's seat.
According to the show's official Twitter account, Griffin said he fielded "a lot of calls," but "didn't have one meaningful conversation" with other teams about Love.
Griffin was also asked if he's ever received a trade call revolving around superstar LeBron James—and the answer was priceless.
"One," Griffin said, per the show's official Twitter account. "First thought was, I'd like to be able to drive home tonight."
Based on the way Cleveland has performed of late, it's no surprise Griffin opted to keep the Cavaliers' title-caliber core intact.
