As Carmelo Anthony stands undecided on his future with the Denver Nuggets, it is apparent that there is nothing like that summertime romance.

LeBron James found his in Miami, Amar'e Stoudemire found his in New York, and Carmelo Anthony is caught up in the matchmaking trying to find his.

For whatever reason, it has become a trend for high-caliber players to leave their legacy behind and join new teams.

Anthony still has time left under his current contract, and he has to decide whether to accept an extension, or face a release or trading scenario.

 

'Melo Over The Years

Anthony has been one of the most consistent players over the past seven years. Never failing to average under 20 points per game, Anthony has also amassed a career shooting average of .459 percent and a rebounding average of 6.2 for his career.

Besides his rookie season, the Nuggets have finished either first or second in the division standings, though they have never appeared in the NBA Finals.
