Branden Dawson Arrested: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

Los Angeles Clippers forward Branden Dawson was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge in Los Angeles on Sunday. He was taken into custody at approximately 8:30 a.m. PT and is being held on bail at $50,000.

TMZ Sports initially reported the news and provided the timeline and details of Dawson's arrest. The Los Angeles Times' Ben Bolch, citing an NBA source, confirmed Dawson was arrested and at the police station.   

Dan Woike of the Orange County Register cited the Los Angeles Police Department in reporting Dawson was still in custody Sunday afternoon.

Dawson was a second-round pick (No. 56 overall) out of Michigan State in the 2015 NBA draft. The New Orleans Pelicans initially drafted him, but they then traded him to L.A. for cash considerations.

The 23-year-old has only appeared in three games for the Clippers as a rookie, spending much of the 2015-16 campaign in the NBA Development League. He played four years of college ball for the Spartans and averaged 10.1 points and 6.9 rebounds for his career.
