Boston Celtics Center Kendrick Perkins, Out For Game 7

Boston Celtics' starting center Kendrick Perkins has been ruled out for Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals as a result of the knee injury he suffered during the first quarter of Game 6.

Perkins tore his posterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments during Game 6, and reconstruction surgery will be required to fix the PCL according to Web MD.

This could effect Perkins for the offseason, though he should be back to full strength by the beginning of the 2011 season.

The injury is a big hit to the Boston Celtics defense, as they will be without their leading blocker for tomorrow's game.

So NBA fans will see if the Celtics can recover from this devastating news but one thing is certain: Boston has much adversity to overcome if they want to raise a record 18th championship banner come Thursday.
