Minnesota Timberwolves rising star Andrew Wiggins suffered an injury and will not play in Tuesday's contest against the Charlotte Hornets, per the team.

Wiggins Dealing with Knee Soreness Tuesday, Nov. 10 Although Wiggins scored 33 points during Minnesota's victory over the Atlanta Hawks Monday, Timberwolves PR confirmed his knee was bothering him before the second game of a back-to-back.

In six games this season, Wiggins is averaging 19.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 40 percent from the field. 

Wiggins is one of the critical building blocks that gives the Wolves such a bright future. He enjoyed a solid rookie campaign and is now in the process of becoming a more efficient offensive contributor as the franchise continues the retooling process around him.

One other thing he showcased during his first NBA season was durability. The Kansas product appeared in all 82 regular-season games while averaging over 36 minutes per contest. It's still at the stage where the team will be cautious with him, though.
