2012 NBA Free Agency: Aaron Gray Re-Signs with Toronto Raptors

According to sources, Aaron Gray has re-signed with the Toronto Raptors on a two-year deal. 

The Raptors have had a busy offseason so far, signing Landry Fields to an offer sheet and trading for Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry.

Gray will most likely be the last big man added to the Raptors roster, as the team now has six signed going into training camp.

With the addition of Jonas Valanciunas, Gray will see the court far less than he did this season, where he started 40 games for Toronto. While he lacked a quality offensive game, Gray helped out a lot on the boards, averaging 5.7 rebounds per game in less than 17 minutes. 

With Jonas Valanciunas and Amir Johnson on the roster, Gray will probably be the third center on the depth chart. Toronto now has a lot of depth at the position, and won't have to worry about Andrea Bargnani's rebounding deficiencies with so many other big man who are capable of collecting boards. 

Gray will help some of the Raptors' young players in Ed Davis, Quincy Acy and Valanciunas to become better basketball players. Gray is not the most athletic or talented player in the lea ...
