2011 NBA Mock Draft: Will Alec Burks Be the Most Underrated Player In the Draft?

If you have never heard the name Alec Burks it should come as no surprise. He is just an 18-year-old sophomore that was not very highly recruited. However, the kid from Grandview, Missouri has really turned into a nice college player and a good pro prospect.

The biggest question marks surrounding the skilled guard all have to do with his size and maturity. However, all of those things will be solved with some seasoning.

Burks, despite his weak upper body strength, has a real strong ability to attack the basket and get to the free throw line.

Burks is a shooting guard in size and skill but he handles the ball like a point guard. That versatility will make him a very coveted player in the draft.

Now is he the most underrated player? That’s hard to tell but I do think he is very underrated.

Another underrated guy that deserves mention is Morehead State’s Kenneth Faried, the power forward with a real nose for rebounds.

The two of them could both end up being the steals of the draft depending on where they end ...
