That's right. Not LeBron James.

Going after LeBron at 12:01 is a sucker's bet. James won't make a quick decision.  Rather, he'll enjoy the attention heaped on him by an array of franchises, including the Bulls, Knicks, Nets, Cavs, and possibly the Clippers and Mavericks.

The Heat must contact Bosh and tell him, "you're our No. 1 target."

These guys have egos. Bosh's must be well fed.

Let the other teams fight over James. Sure, the Heat could get in that mix and would have a chance of landing LeBron. But, in all likelihood, James won't come to Miami. Other than the Lakers, the Heat are the only team in the league where James would not be the clear-cut Alpha-Dog.

Lock up Bosh and the rest will fall into place. The Heat could then move on to another wing producer (Joe Johnson, Rudy Gay), and then start the important task of filling in ...
