The Detroit Pistons (26-24) return home from a disappointing road trip that saw them lose two of three straight up and against the spread when they host the skidding New York Knicks (23-28) on Thursday.

Coincidentally, both Detroit and New York are coming off losses to the Boston Celtics, with the Pistons falling 102-95 as four-point road underdogs Wednesday.

Detroit is a 5.5-point home favorite at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark but saw shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope suffer a groin injury in the first half at Boston. He finished with just four points in 16 minutes of action and is expected to sit out this game versus New York.

Caldwell-Pope ranks third on the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game and will be missed since the team does not have another quality player at his position on the roster.

With that loss, the Pistons have also dropped three of four SU and ATS, including a 114-106 setback against the Cleveland Cavaliers as four-point dogs in their most recent home game last Friday.
