Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns Teams Up with Cat to Campaign for All-Star Game

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT) is having himself a fine rookie season, and with the 2016 NBA All-Star Game quickly approaching, the team is doing what it can to try to get him into the festivities.

Towns, who is averaging 15.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per contest, starred in a creative ad to push his All-Star campaign. With this year's Feb. 14 showcase being held in Toronto, the Timberwolves had Towns "travel" the world with a cat.

Even if you're a dog person, you have to like the creativity here.

All-Star Game voting should be done based on performance. However, there's no denying it can turn into a popularity contest at times, regardless of the league. That's why you see videos like this being made every year. And every year, they're huge hits.

Now, it's up to the fans to reward the first-year player with votes.
