2011 NBA Mock Draft: Can Marcus Morris Play Small Forward In the NBA?

Marcus Morris is one half of the pair of twins that has really made an impact on the Big-12 race this year. He and his brother Markieff will be looking to make the jump to the NBA this year.

However, the questions have been raised about Marcus’ ability to play the small forward at the NBA level and to be blunt, it doesn’t look good.

He has mainly played inside during his career at Kansas but he doesn’t have the size to really play the power forward at the next level.

Another underrated thing about Morris that will hold him back at the next level is the length of his arms. Although his height is listed at 6-foot-9 his wingspan is just 6-foot-7. That extra length could make up for the fact that he isn’t strong enough or big enough to compete with NBA power forwards.

The one thing Morris does have going for him is the fact that he has a solid mid-range game, shows a lot of activity, and is a very good rebounder despite being a little on the light side.
