With Their “One Goal” Met, The Chicago Blackhawks Must Retool Once Again

The 2009-2010 season was quite a roller coaster for the Chicago Blackhawks that ended on the highest of highs in which they claimed the ultimate prize, the Stanley Cup.

Although the season is now over and the celebration shall begin in the streets of Chicago there is still much work to be done in the Chicago front office before the NHL Draft, just two weeks away.

Much like last season the Blackhawks will have a low pick in the upcoming draft, 30th overall, and will likely be looking to take the best available player.

If I had to choose a position that the 'Hawks might address with their first pick it would likely be goal-tending. I have seen a few mock drafts in which "experts" believe the 'Hawks will pick American goaltender Jack Campbell.

However, in my opinion, there is no way that Campbell makes it all the way to the 'Hawks at 30 and if he does they will snatch him up but the more likely goaltender to be around where they are picking is Calvin Pickard out of the WHL.
