Wild’s Thomas Vanek Uses Nifty Between-the-Legs Move to Score Goal vs. Jets

November 11th, 2015 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

On a play like this, the Winnipeg Jets just have to shake their heads and give credit to Minnesota Wild left wing Thomas Vanek.

He earned this goal.

After the Wild gained possession of the puck, Vanek took matters into his own hands. First, he won a one-on-one battle with Winnipeg's Paul Postma with a great move. Then, he managed to go top shelf from a tough angle.

There's just not much a defenseman or goalie can do to stop moves like that.

Vanek's goal, his second in a six-minute span, extended the Wild's lead to 4-1 midway through the second period. Minnesota recorded a 5-3 victory behind Vanek's big night.
