The Chicago Blackhawks struggled in the second period, but still found a way to come up with a 4-3 victory in Game 1 of their conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Wild.

Chicago took a 3-0 lead in the first period, but the Wild charged back with three goals in the second period to tie the score and seize momentum. However, Teuvo Teravainen scored the first playoff goal in his career to give the Blackhawks a lead late in the second, and they refused to let the Wild tie it up in the final 20 minutes.

The Blackhawks have a 1-0 lead in the series. They will host the Wild in Game 2 on Sunday night.
